momentum ORGANIZATION is the shared vision of the following three professionals, whose accumulated and varied expertise is as follows:
Nanci Baer is a financial executive with extensive experience in lending, business development, loan pricing, and asset management in the real estate and commercial banking arenas. She has over two-decades of demonstrated success in project management, negotiation, project budget development, and administration. Over the years her local banking experience has been with Bank of America, Key Bank, Wells Fargo, and United California. Nanci earned a bachelors degree at C.F.N. Christian College and studied Finance at the University of Edinburgh, School of Business Masters Program. A resident of Long Beach, Nanci is dedicated to utilizing her analytical, business and communication skills for the betterment of the community.
Jason Darden is a counselor, leadership trainer, and lifestyle coach. He has demonstrated experience in project management and organizing community service projects in a variety of forums. Mr. Darden has applied his skills to support the Nation’s troops as a counselor for soldiers in the United States Army Reserve, specializing in stress management and suicide prevention. Over the years his experience has been with various universities, school districts, camps and churches, including Harding University, Grant Joint Unified School District, and North Metro Church of Christ. Mr. Darden earned his Masters of Arts in Theology at the Fuller Theological Seminary and his bachelors at Harding University.
Louis Lacrosse is a sales and marketing professional with expertise in management, finance, and sales. Adept at financial reporting and budgeting, Mr. Lacrosse has utilized his relationship management skills to foster financial relationships and successful partnerships. He has implemented direct marketing techniques for a variety of organizations by creating value through unique programs and projects. Over the years his experience has included working with senior management and business executives as both a lifestyle and fitness specialist and property manager. Mr. Lacrosse earned his bachelor’s degree at California State University at Long Beach.
momentum ORGANIZATION to help ensure the success of its goals, has aligned with an organization known as Save Our Children Counseling and Assistance Association, Inc., an Savannah, Georgia-based, non-profit group dedicated to intervening on behalf of at-risk children in Liberty County Georgia. Save Our Children is dedicated to providing Drug Prevention Education, Botvin Life Skills Training, Mentoring, Job Placement and after school programming options to youth in the community who are in need of intervention and support.
The Founder and Director of Save Our Children is Linnie L. Darden, Jr., now in his eighties, who began on this path of helping at-risk youth back in 1994. Working with several community partners such as the Liberty County Department of Juvenile Justice, Mary Lou Fraser Counseling Center, the Liberty County Board of Education, and Goodwill Industries, Darden receives referrals from local schools and churches to reduce the rate of child abuse, neglect, and juvenile arrest in Liberty County.
Darden started helping at-risk youth after earning his master’s from the University of California at Berkeley. A former director of an alternative school program, Darden has since extended his support of children beyond our border. Nearly 45 years ago, he founded the Church of Christ Deaf School in Ethiopia, which currently serves more than 150 children. Adept at sign language, Darden continues to work with hearing impaired children. He views his ability to meet the needs of the world’s children as a blessing.
As a pioneer of success in this realm, Linnie Darden is an active Board Member of momentum ORGANIZATION, extending his guidance and leadership to address the needs of at-risk youth in the community of Long Beach.
